Born in Vicenza (Italy) Luigino Caliaro began his aerial photo career in 1994, when he climbed with his camera into the cockpit of a Tucano of British Royal Air Force. Since then, he gathered around 300 jet military flying hours. He is a regular photo contributor to RIVISTA AERONAUTICA (the official magazine of the Italian Air Force); AEREI and TUTTOAEREI. He also contributes to French AIR FAN, English INTERNATIONAL AIR POWER REVIEW and AIR FORCE MONTHLY, American COMBAT AIRCRAFT and to the Japanese magazine KOKU FAN. His broad fighter photo experience includes F16, F15, F18, MiG-29, F-4F Phantom, Tornado. He also flew with several air demonstration teams, including the Italian Frecce Tricolori, Patrulla Aguila, Patrouille de France, Red Arrows, Turkish Stars, Snowbirds, Team 60, Esquadrilla da Fumaça and Blue Angels. Caliaro’s flight images are used by Air Forces and Acrobatic Teams for official photoworks. Editor of AEROPHOTO PUBLISHING, Caliaro published several books including HIGH FLIGHT, PATTUGLIE ACROBATICHE and PRUA AL CIELO as far as CD-Rom and DVD series. |
